Shunn P. Phillips serves as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Compliance Officer of the Baton Rouge Clinic, AMC, a physician-owned, multi-specialty clinic with more than 175 physicians in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

During her twenty-two year tenure, she has overseen numerous mergers and acquisitions, developed physician compensation plans, and coordinated the implementation of the clinic’s electronic medical record system. She also provides administrative guidance for the clinic’s many committees, including the Quality Committee, which works to reduce costs and improve clinical outcomes for the clinic’s more than 250,000 patients. Under Shunn’s leadership, the organization has been recognized nationally for achieving high-performing benchmarks in areas such as accounts receivable management. Her broad scope of responsibilities includes financial management, regulatory compliance, operational policy and strategy, information technology, and human resources.

In addition to her work at the clinic, Shunn has served as a liaison between physicians and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on the physician enrollment and identity system for the past three years. She also serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee for the National Medical Group Management Association and recently joined the Provider Compliance Focus Group for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
